How to access a Live@Edu account from outside the College network
When logging in to a College PC when you are inside the College, a student will automatically be logged onto the Live@edu system – webpage will show in the second tab in Internet Explorer.
It is also possible to login to the Live@edu system outside of the College. This is because a Live@Edu account is essentially a Windows Live account.
NOTE: If, for any reason you can’t login to the system from outside of the College, but it works for you inside the College – try changing your password on a PC inside the College and then try outside of the College again. It could be that your passwords between the two systems have gotten out of sync. Please remember that your password must be at least 6 digits long.
Follow these steps to login to Live@edu outside of the College
- Go to www.live.com
- Enter your username into the Windows Live ID text box. Your Live username is made up of your College username + @live.jwheatley.ac.uk
In this case, it is - frankieduffie111@live.jwheatley.ac.uk
( frankieduffie111 + @live.jwheatley.ac.uk )
Enter the password that you use for the College network (note: this must be 6 digits long)
