Support Services: Additional Support Needs

John Wheatley College is committed to providing the opportunity for learners to access education and training to suit their abilities and interests. The College has a wide range of support measures available to all learners and has specific resources available to assist those in the groups listed below.

  • Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties

The College has a centralised Curriculum Support Service, which provides extra help where required.


At an interview curriculum choices and additional support needs can be discussed and arranged. This service is strictly confidential and aims to support learners.


The College may be able to help learners access specialist equipment, additional tutorials, additional financial support and assistance with transport to allow them to complete their programme of study.
