
Learners who are attending the College on a full-time basis will not be required to contribute towards the cost of tuition fees provided they have been resident in the UK or another EU country for the last 3 years and are ordinarily resident in Scotland on the 1st August on the year the programme begins.
Learners who are in receipt of benefits and enrolled in the College on a part-time basis should complete a fee waiver form to pay the cost of the programme. The fee waiver form may need to be stamped by a local Jobcentre Plus Office. Further information on the fee waiver policy is available from the College's Administration Offices.
Bursaries are offered to eligible full-time learners aged 18yrs and over to cover maintenance and travel costs. Payments are made directly into a bank account every fortnight. Students must achieve at least 90% attendance otherwise bursary payments will be affected.
Lone parents may be advised to apply for a bursary to cover their travel and study expenses in order to maintain existing benefits.
A bursary will be awarded to eligible part-time learners to cover travel expenses if they live at least two miles from the campus in which they are based. Application forms are available from the College's Advice Centres or Reception areas.

Eligible learners aged 16 or 17 years may be entitled to an EMA for maintenance payments and a bursary to cover travel expenses, if they live more than two miles from the campus they attend. EMA payments are dependant on learners attending 100% each week and are made directly into a bank account every fortnight.
Remember: You must submit application forms for funding as soon as possible and the EMA award is based on the learner's age at the start of the programme!
Child Benefit is still payable to parents or guardians for learners aged up to 19yrs in full time non-advanced education.
Learners who are attending the College on a full-time basis on Higher Education programmes should apply to The Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS) for support with tuition fees, who can confirm eligibility for awards. Applications must be made online at SAAS

Other supplementary grants may be available to certain categories of learners, such as those registered with a disability.

All eligible full-time learners and part-time FE learners can apply for support towards any childcare costs incurred as a result of attending College. The learner's child/ren must be cared for by a registered childcare provider e.g. nursery, childminder or after school care. Payment is normally made directly to the provider upon receipt of an invoice. Learners must sign and return the College Agreement before any payment is made.
Eligible learners may be entitled to a discount on Council Tax bills. Further information can be obtained from local council websites or offices.
